On the internet since July 22-23, 2002, Freedom Village Quit Smoking Forum continues to be a non-profit internet community providing information and support against tobacco abuse to smokers, ex-smokers and non-smokers. FVQSF has been accredited by HON (Health On the Net) since 2004 and strictly adheres to the 8 HON Principles. Most all of the members of FV at this time are ex-smokers with many years of combined knowledge in quitting and staying quit from smoking. Our forum is ad-free and membership enrollment is also free. If you do not wish to open a free account with Network 54 (host to FV Forum) no problem, you may post at anytime without becoming a member. We do feature sites occasionally that may be belong to past and present members who provide "for profit" products. FV may also provide an ad for NetFlix and all proceeds will go to payment to keep the forum ad free and if profits exceed this (doubtful :-( they will) then those profits will go towards the monthly charge for this site. About Me:

I'm 54 years old and live in South Central Florida, USA. My name is James but family and close friends call me "Bubba" out of affection. I became known as "BubbaJames" on most quit smoking support forums on the internet.

QuitSmokingHelp.org has been on the web since 2002! Originally it was my homepage and called "Bubba's Homepage". When I became serious about quitting smoking because it was killing me I was obsessed with trying to bring awareness to tobacco abuse. That is when this Website became known as www.QuitSmokingHelp.org and www.FreedomVillage.net with an emphasis on quitting cigarette smoking.

Freedom Village MySpace was created to bring awareness to Freedom Village Quit Smoking Support Forum. Both, Freedom Village MySpace & Forum are dedicated to bringing awareness to most all humanitarian causes but most of all they were designed to bring awareness to the dangers of smoking tobacco. I have a bit of knowledge and experience in tobacco abuse. I know of its deadly & debilitating consequences and how to take control of the addiction. A few of my qualifications are:

I smoked 2 to 3 packs of cigarettes a day for 30 plus years.

I've been consistently quit for 3 years.

I've been quit off and on for several years.

I've lost many friends and family members to tobacco abuse.

I've operated and maintained a quit smoking support forum on Network54 for 6 plus years.

I maintain QuitSmokingHelp.org website.

I maintain a quit smoking MySpace page, blog and forum.

I maintain Stop Smoking Ring with WebRing.

I have Mild COPD as a result of tobacco smoking and CAD aggrevated by smoking.

Each and everyone of us are unique just as our quits are or will be. Ex-smokers can give you ideas on quitting and staying quit but ultimately it is left up to you to find what will work.

I hope you'll explore my site. I'll do my best to provide resources to reliable and free quit smoking support and please do not hesitate to email me if you have sites you found helpful and want to share.

Hey Uncle Bubba,

That video you put on your MySpace, about that women, it really killed me inside because I know that I'm going to have to see my Mom suffer like that. I'm so scared and she's still smoking. I can't say much as I'm still smoking myself but the more I see people suffering and know that it's killing my Mom, I think now I can give it up. If something happens to Mom I dont' know what I'm going to do, I am really going to need you. Well I need to quit thinking about it, I'm crying my eyes out now as we speak.
