Note:
These guidelines apply to all of the following: Freedom Village Quit Smoking Forum, Freedom Village MySpace and Liddie's Village Forum.
"Freedom Village Quit Smoking Forum is meant to support and not to replace the relationship that exists between a member or visitor and his or her physician or counselor."
The forum's appearance, graphics and links are often updated but our commitment to our original mission we stay the same. After eight plus years on the internet we continue to be a non-profit internet community bringing support to smokers, ex-smokers and non-smokers on the dangers of tobacco abuse.
At this date (July 5, 2010) no profits have been made and the manager (James Davis) continues to pay all dues to Network54, the host of this forum. Never will the manager profit from possible proceeds of ads in FV ......if at any time proceeds are made, it will always be used towards anti-tobacco causes such as dues for the forum or towards this website. To receive amounts that exceed the maintence dues would be used to pay for Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) to help smokers quit smoking. If you have any questions about this, or any other comments made here, feel free to email me at anytime. Be sure to place on the subject line of your email, "Question regarding FV".
Freedom Village Quit Smoking Forum, also known as Freedom Village Non-Smoking Forum is open and free to all expressions (religion, race, politics, etc) so long as it does not intentionally offend the majority or make a direct attack against any one individual (ALWAYS be respectful). Paticipation in the forum is FREE and your privacy will be respected. Keep in mind the forum is open to the public and this means all internet users......the owner/manager will maintain your privacy to the best of his/her ability. You have nothing to loose and a lot to gain by participating in this forum. We are commited to providing you with an internet support forum to help you quit and stay quit from tobacco abuse!

The online community experience is best when everyone follows a few house rules. There are guidelines you should be aware of before you post messages to these Discussion Forums. While most people are polite, friendly and respectful; there are some individuals that choose to behave in a disrespectful and argumentative manner. The owner/manager/moderators will take appropriate steps to keep our discussions within these guidelines.
It is important for the success of these on-line communities to police yourselves. Treat others with kindness and respect. Remember that these are public venues read by many people spanning all walks of life.
Please understand that we are not attempting to censor any messages or opinions posted, but this is a moderated discussion forum. We simply want to preserve the spirit of an open, interactive discussion without offending anyone. This means that we reserve the right to remove or edit inappropriate messages, or to lock a discussion thread. Before taking any of these actions, a moderator will attempt to steer the discussion back to the topic, if this is possible and appropriate.
The additional step of editing or deleting a post will only be taken in appropriate circumstances; again, the intent is not to censor or to change the meaning of any post. If we edit a post and you do not like the changes please feel free to notify us and we will delete your post.
These subjects/topics are not off limits but please tread carefully. They can cause an explosion of misunderstanding if not carefully worded.
